ABOUT CONNIE LIVINGSTON

Connie Livingston BS, RN, LCCE, FACCE, ICCE

Connie has been a registered nurse for 38 years and a Lamaze International certified childbirth educator for over 34 years.

Connie is serving as the President of the International Childbirth Education Association.

Connie is charter Fellow of the Academy of Certified Childbirth Educators.

As a doula and perinatal education coordinator, Connie created the first hospital based doula program at a hospital in Dayton Ohio - one of the first 10 in the United States.

She has served as a DONA approved doula trainer and has previously served on the Boards of Lamaze International, ICEA, DONA (past editor of The International Doula), and CAPPA (past Co-Director of Childbirth Education).

The Ohio House of Representatives has honored her for her contributions to Maternity Care; she was selected as Purdue University's outstanding nursing alumna in 1996.

She has authored over 1200 articles and three books for both parents and professionals and consultant to childbirth education and hospital-based doula programs.

In 2011, Connie was pleased to become the Program Director of the Birthsource Lamaze Accredited Childbirth Educator Training Program.
