ABOUT NANCY WAINER

Nancy Wainer is an international known Certified Professional Midwife with over 20 years experiencing specializing in VBAC births and is also a sought-after childbirth educator.

She co-founded the first and largest cesarean prevention/awareness organization in the world and was instrumental in the formation of the Cesarean Prevention Movement.

She coined the term "VBAC" which is now used internationally.

She has written two books and is currently writing her third.

The first, Silent Knife: Cesarean Prevention and VBAC was awarded The Best Book in the Field of Health and Medicine by the American Library Association the year it was published.

Her work is being archived at the Schlesinger Womens' History Library at Harvard University.

She was the first midwife in the U.S. to teach HypnoBirthing and in 2013 became the first childbirth educator in Massachusetts to teach Blissborn Childbirth classes.
